Normal driving 40mph brake failure and power steering loss. Towed vehicle to dealership

The tailgate opens unexpectedly, it can be inspected but it is in for repairs on 6/15/26. There was luggage in the back and it could have fallen out on the freeway. The problem has not been repeated by the dealer, but it has occurred several times in the past. The vehicle had not been inspected by others. There was no warning that the tailgate opened. They start to occur randomly several months ago.

Filled tank with diesel and truck wouldn’t turn back on. We were next to a jiffy lube and they were able to run a scan and it said there was a broken fuel module. There’s only around 60,000 miles on it, it’s 4 years old, and left my son and I stranded.

I was merging onto the highway in my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X equipped with the 6.6L Duramax engine at about 50mph when the gauge cluster emitted a “Reduced Acceleration Drive With Care” message followed by a check engine light. We keep getting an error message that shows we need to service DEF SYSTEM, it also started to limit my MPH and is now locked at 55 MPH. initial check of the DEF SYSTEM shows a malfunctioning module. it has been happening over the last year to 18 months. they would reset it or it would sometimes go away on its own after having to drive it in order for the error to clear.

I recently purchased my vehicle from Big Star Dealership in Baytown Tx. At a little over 1000 miles i was towing a camper. The vehicle stalled, fuel pouring from engine. Intermittent trailer disconnect and loss of electric trailer brake output while towing Airstream. The truck is connected to the trailer through the seven Way plug. There are no modifications to the truck. This is a safety hazard as I pull a 9000+ lb trailer. Trailer connection drops momentarily and integrated trailer brake controller loses communication with trailer brakes. The curtain airbags on both the passenger and driver side deployed while driving down the road. The truck is available for inspection although the deployed bags have been cut off in order to drive it home. Pictures were taken before doing so and are available for inspection. My son is pretty shaken up and has injuries to his shoulder, face and his ears are ringing.
